The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (“HKIoD”) and the Hong Kong Mediation Council (“HKMCL”) are jointly organising this General Mediation Training Course (the “Course”) designed for individuals who are interested in becoming an accredited mediator. (Add: “This course offers a solid foundation for directors and management in resolving corporate and commercial disputes. This is a 40 hours Stage 1 General Mediation Training Course conducted by HKMC x HKIoD pending the accreditation from the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited (“HKMAAL”). Upon satisfactory completion, participants with 100% attendance and a passing grade on the course assessments will receive a certificate. Participants satisfactorily completed this Course may apply directly with the HKMAAL for mediation accreditation assessments. Speakers: 1) Trainer – Christopher To
Dr. Christopher To is a chartered arbitrator, certified adjudicator and accredited mediator, chartered engineer, chartered information technology professional, barrister-at-law and a law professor (adjunct) who is on the panels of various leading global alternative dispute resolution bodies. He has arbitrated, adjudicated and mediated a variety of cases and is representing clients in cases within the dispute resolution field. Christopher is currently the Programme Director of the LLM in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution at the City University of Hong Kong and was the Secretary-General of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (1998 to 2008) and was the Chairman of HKIoD (2019 to 2025). |

Payment and Cancellation Policy To cancel your registration for a specific course, you must submit your cancellation in writing at least 3 days before the course date. If we do not receive your cancellation request 3 days in advance, our policy stipulates that the fee for the missed course will be deducted and is non-transferable. If you provide written notice of cancellation for a specific course 3 days or more before the course date, the fee will not be deducted and can be transferred to another course of the same price within 6 months.
