Mr. Frank Chan, Senior Manager from Advisory Team, Grant Thornton
Frank has over 15 years of professional experiences encompassing technology audit and providing a variety of “CIO” solutions – ranging from technology governance and controls, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery and project management.
Prior to Grant Thornton, Frank led the IT audit and compliance functions in various blue chip corporations in Hong Kong, serving the real estate, retail, financial and insurance, and natural resources sectors. Frank served both second and third lines of defenses through providing independent audit in corporations, and implementing controls and policies and procedures to support the IT functions.
In addition, Frank served as a disaster recovery (DR) leadership role on designing the disaster recovery process and organizing the associated disaster recovery drills for an international insurance company’s Asia-Pacific region, covering 13 countries in 9 time zones. It was the first time a whole region was involved in a DR process with success, and becoming a foundation of the subsequent drills until the complete upgrade of the relevant systems.
Frank graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree of Bachelor of Science, University of Denver with a degree of Master of Science, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a degree of Master of Business Administrations. He is also a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Audit (CIA) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
