Directors must demonstrate leadership in enterprise and integrity. It is pertinent that directors engage in continuing professional development to remain up-to-date with corporate governance practices. The Hong Kong Institute of Directors is probably the professional body that has organized the largest number of director professionalism programmes. We encourage members in the pursuit of professional excellence and welcome all practising and potential directors to take part in these programmes.

As the premier body representing directors, the Institute is pleased to serve members. We care about our members' professional development and advancement of business interests. We work towards coordinating directors in joint efforts in a multicultural environment and augmenting an influential voice representing directors in promoting the prosperity of Hong Kong.

One of our major tasks is to disseminate up-to-date information on corporate governance, empowering directors in world-trend best practices.
